The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Education, has released the CBSE Datesheet 2027 for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. The exams will begin on 16th February 2027 (Tuesday). The datesheet has been issued 101 days before the start of the exams.
Along with the datesheet, the board has also shared subject-wise details in a separate circular. These details explain the CBSE marks bifurcation 2027 across theory, practical, project and internal assessment. Students can check the complete schedule and marks distribution below.

CBSE Datesheet 2027 for Class 10
The CBSE Class 10 board exam (Secondary School Examination 2027) will be held from 16th February 2027 to 9th March 2027. Every paper starts at 10:30 AM. The closing time is either 12:30 PM or 1:30 PM, depending on the subject.

How CBSE Prepared the Datesheet 2027
CBSE has stated that the datesheet is based on the data submitted by schools in the List of Candidates (LOC). The board considered the following factors while preparing the CBSE Datesheet 2027:
- Adequate gaps between subjects that students commonly offer together in both classes
- Tentative schedules of major entrance examinations for Class 12 students, so that the board exams finish well before them
- The number of candidates appearing at each examination centre on a particular day
- A schedule that limits the long absence of teachers from their schools during evaluation
- More than 40,000 subject combinations, so that no two subjects opted by a student fall on the same date
The board has said that the early release will give students enough time to plan their preparation and reduce exam-related anxiety. Families and teachers can also plan their travel during the summer vacation, and schools designated as examination centres can make arrangements in advance.
CBSE Marks Bifurcation 2027
Each subject carries a maximum of 100 marks. These marks are divided between the theory paper and the internal assessment components, which include practical, project and internal assessment (IA). The CBSE marks bifurcation 2027 for each subject is given in the list annexed to the board’s circular dated 5th November 2026.
The details also mention the duration of the theory exam, whether CBSE will appoint an external examiner, whether practical answer books will be supplied by the board, and the type of answer book for the theory exam. According to the board, these details help students, schools and teachers avoid mistakes while awarding and uploading marks.
