Eligibility Criteria

Lateral Entry to Integrated PG Programme

Successful completion of the 6th semester of FYUG/Integrated PG Programme under NEP 2020 with a minimum of 60 credits in the applied subject is required to apply for Dibrugarh University PG Admission 2026.

Master of Arts (MA)

Bachelor’s degree with a major/honours in the relevant subject securing at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point. For candidates of General Programme, 50% marks in the subject and 45% in aggregate is required.

Master of Science (MSc)

Bachelor’s degree with major/honours securing 45% marks or equivalent, otherwise 50% in the subject and 45% aggregate for general programme candidates.

Master of Commerce (M.Com.)

Bachelor’s degree with major/honours securing at least 45% marks or 50% marks in the subject with 45% aggregate for general candidates.

Other Specific Programmes

  • MSc Biotechnology and Bioinformatics: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or allied fields with a minimum 50% aggregate or completion of 6th semester FYUG/Integrated PG.
  • MA Mass Communication and Women’s Studies: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% in major or aggregate or completion of 6th semester FYUG/Integrated PG.
  • MA Applied Psychology: Bachelor’s degree including medical or technical graduates with 45% in major or 50% aggregate.
  • M.Ed.: Minimum 50% marks in B.Ed., BA B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., or D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree.
  • MCA: Relevant graduation with or without mathematics background. Candidates without mathematics require a 1-year bridge course.
  • MTTM: Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

Selection Process of Dibrugarh University PG Admission 2026

The admission process requires candidates to appear for the DUAT 2026. Admissions will be granted based on merit in the DUAT score and preference order. Candidates must also separately apply through the SAMARTH portal using the valid DUAT score. Admission is provisional subject to verification of academic qualifications and submission of relevant documents.

Exam Pattern & Admission Test Details

  • Mode: Online test using OMR sheets.
  • Duration: 2 hours (except Mathematics which is 2 hours 150 marks).
  • Question Type: Objective multiple-choice questions.
  • Total Marks: 100 marks for most subjects, 150 marks for Mathematics.
  • Language: English (except for language subjects).
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect response (0.5 marks for Mathematics).
  • Test Centres: 11 locations including Dibrugarh University, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Majuli, Lakhimpur, Dhenaji, Sonari, Guwahati, Diphu.

  • Register on the portal with mobile number, name, and password verification via OTP.
  • Log in and click the ‘Apply’ button on the DUAT 2026 link.
  • Select the programme(s) you intend to apply for (maximum 4 subjects with restrictions on shift selections).
  • Fill in the application details carefully and review before submission.
  • Pay the application fee of ₹105 online using Debit/Credit card or Internet Banking.
  • Download and keep the online receipt of successful payment for reference.
  • Download the admit card from the portal when released.
  • Carry a printed copy of the admit card on the examination day.
