Educational Qualification

  • Stenographer Grade-II: Candidate must be graduate from a UGC recognized University and possess a Diploma/ Certificate in stenography/shorthand or be pursuing it with submission of pass certificate at verification. Knowledge of Assamese language is mandatory.
  • Chauffeur: Minimum educational qualification of Class X (HSLC) and valid LMV driving license issued by competent authority.
  • Multi Tasking Staff: Minimum of Class VIII standard education and must not have passed HSSLC (12th) or above. Special skills may be preferred.
  • Private Secretary (Stenographer Grade-I): Bachelor’s degree from recognized University, preferably with diploma in English stenography (minimum 120 wpm shorthand and 50 wpm computer typing). Must have knowledge of Assamese language.

Selection Process

  • Stenographer Grade-II: Stenography test (voice test, shorthand speed test, transcription), written examination (objective type on English and Assamese), and Viva-Voce interview.
  • Chauffeur: Written test (objective type on road signs, general knowledge, Assamese), driving test (starting, driving, parking), and interview/viva-voce.
  • Multi Tasking Staff: Written examination (objective type on general knowledge, English, mathematics, Assamese), and interview/viva-voce.
  • Private Secretary: Stenography test (dictation and transcription), written examination (descriptive English composition, essay, grammar, and Assamese), and interview/viva-voce.
