The registration process for admission to ISI for academic session 2022-23 is now open, entrance test on 8th May 2022.
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has started the registration process for admissions in the academic session 2022-23. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Degree and Diploma programs as well as Junior Research Fellowships offered by the Indian Statistical Institute. Candidates who are due to complete the qualifying examination before 31 July 2022 may also apply.

Important dates for ISI admission 2022-23
The registration procession for admission to ISI for academic session 2022-23 has started from 1st March and will continue till 31st March 2022. The institute will start issuing the admit cards will begin from 21st April and the exam will be held on 8th May 2022.
Academic programs offered by Indian Statistical Institude
The detailed list of academic programs offered by ISI along with their duration and center is available in the table below:
1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics:
Eligibility-(i) a 3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject or, (ii) a B.E./B.Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at ISI
NE Centre at Tezpur and at Chennai. 50% seats at Tezpur are reserved for domiciled candidates of the North-East states of India) Stipend: ₹3000/- per month ONLY for students domiciled in the North East States of India.

Stipends/Fellowships for students admitted to ISI’s
Students getting admitted to any programs offered by any of the ISIs will receive Stipends/Fellowships as mentioned against each program satisfying the minimum academic qualification.

Selection Procedure for Admissions
The Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written test(s) and interviews conducted by the Institute subject to satisfying the minimum academic qualification. Even the candidates who have been awarded a Junior Research Fellowship in the five aforementioned areas by NBHM/ CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DST/ DBT based on a nationally conducted written Admission Test are also required to clear the ISI Admission Test or an equivalent test conducted by the institute if they wish to obtain a Ph.D. degree from ISI.
An equivalent admission test for applicants to JRF in Computer Science, who are awardees of CSIR/ UGC Junior Research Fellowships, will be held on 6 June 2022. Also, ISI has given due consideration to candidates belonging to reserved categories- ISI reservation policy.
