IRDAI Recruitment 2024: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has recently released a notification for filling 49 vacant Assistant Manager (AM) positions in its various offices. The advertised vacancies are for both candidates with general graduation as well as for candidates in Law, Engineering, Post Graduate in Computer Application, Economics, and Statistics.

Eligibility Criteria for IRDAI Recruitment 2024
(a) Age Limit: As of 20th September 2024, the candidate’s age needs to be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years to apply for these vacancies. Hereby, candidates should not have been born earlier than 21/09/1994 and not later than 20/09/2003 (both days inclusive).

(c) Education Qualifications:
- Actuarial: Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks and 7 papers passed of IAI as per the 2019 curriculum.
- Finance: Graduation with minimum 60% marks and ACA/ AICWA/ ACMA/ ACS/ CFA
- Law: Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum 60% marks
- Information Technology (IT):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Software Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks
- OR Master in computer applications with a minimum of 60% marks
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a postgraduate qualification (minimum 2 years duration) in Computers/ Information Technology with minimum 60% marks
- Research: Master’s Degree or 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Economics/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Mathematical Economics/ Integrated Economics Course/ Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 60% marks
- Generalist: Graduation with minimum 60% marks
Note: In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories, relaxation in educational standards to the extent of 5% marks is allowed for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Selection Procedure
Selections in IRDAI Recruitment 2024 will be done through a country-wide competition in 3 phases:
- Phase I: On-line Preliminary Examination (objective type)
- Phase II: Descriptive Examination
- Phase III: Interview
Phase 1: Online Preliminary Exam
- In the Prelims exam of IRDAI Recruitment 2024, there will be 4 objective tests.
- There will be 160 questions in total, which carry 160 marks.
- There will be negative marks of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
- Candidates will get a composite time of 90 minutes to complete the test.
- Tests will be conducted in English and Hindi (except the Test of English Language which will be provided only in English).
- Candidates need to qualify in each of them and also in aggregate as per the cut-off marks decided by IRDAI.
- Separate cut-offs may also be applied for each of the specialized streams and Generalist streams.
