The pay scale will range between Rs. 35400 to Rs. 112400 (Level-6).

Eligibility Criteria

(i) Age Limit

• The upper age limit for scientific assistant posts is up to 30 years as on 18/03/2025.
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ ST: 5 years
  • PwD (OBC): 13 years
  • PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
  • PwD (SC/ ST): 15 years

(ii) Educational Qualification

The candidates must possess a B.E./ B.Tech/ M.Sc degree in one or a combination of the following fields:

• Computer & Networking Security
• Software Systems
• Information Technology

Selection Procedure of NIELIT Recruitment 2025

• The candidate will be selected for the above-listed vacancies based on the cores of the written test.
• There will be objective type and OMR-based questions from the Technical & Generic area.
• The exam will feature 120 objective-type questions, with 65% focusing on the Technical Area of your respective stream and 35% covering the Generic Area to test overall aptitude.
• The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• Each question will carry 1 mark.
• 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• The cut-off marks for qualifying in the written test are-
  • General/ EWS: 50%
  • OBC: 40%
  • SC/ ST/ PwBD: 30%
• The specified cut-off marks will apply both to the overall score (Technical + Generic combined) and to each section individually (Technical & Generic).
