North Western Railway released a notification for GDCE Recruitment apply by May 6, 2023.
Railway GDCE Recruitment: The Railway Recruitment Cell on March 24, 2023, issued a notification inviting online applications to fill the vacancies in the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) 2023, quota. The candidates selected can be posted anywhere in the North Eastern Railway region.
The examination will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. A total of 238 vacancies are listed. Read this article for all information.

Educational Qualification
- Matriculation Pass plus
- A) ITI/Act Apprenticeship passed in the trade Fitter /Electrician /Instrument Mechanic /Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic /Mechanic (Radio & TV) /Electronics Mechanic /Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) /Wireman /Tractor Mechanic /Armature & Coil Winder /Mechanic(Diesel) /Heat Engine.
- (OR) (B) Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobiles Engineering in lieu of ITI.
Application Fee
No application fee is required to be paid by the candidates.
Recruitment Process of Railway GDCE Recruitment
- CBT/ Written Examination will be conducted in single/two stages. CBT/ Written Examination will have multiple choice type questions. There shall be negative marking in written examination and 1/3 of the allotted marks for each question shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Next, they shall pass the amplitude test.
- The third stage comprises Document Verification and Medical Fitness test.

- New candidates can register by clicking on “NEW REGISTRATION”
- Candidate Dashboard will appear for filling up Personal details
- Fill up the required information
- Save & Continue for Preview & submission of application
- A printout of the application should be taken for future reference
