RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025: The Reserve Bank of India Services Board has announced the RBI Grade B examination for recruitment of the Officers in Grade ‘B’ (Direct Recruit-DR) across General, DEPR, and DSIM cadres. The selected candidates from the RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 drive will draw a starting basic pay and allowances as follows:

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

To sit for the RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 examination a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be the age of 30 years as of July 01, 2025, i.e., he/ she must have been born not earlier than July 02, 1995 and not later than July 01, 2004.

Educational Qualification

(i) For Officer Gr. B (DR) – General:  

• A candidate applying for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025must be a graduate in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/ years.

(ii) For Officer Gr. B (DR) – DEPR:

• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Economics (or any other master’s degree where “Economics” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/ syllabus, namely MA/ MSc in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics).
• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Finance (or any other master’s degree where “Finance” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/ syllabus, namely MA/ MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance).
• For the above, a minimum of 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade is required in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized Indian or foreign University/ Institute.
• “Principal constituent” with respect to syllabus/ curriculum means half or more of the total courses/ electives/ credits must be in Economics or Finance.

(iii) For Officer in Gr B (DR) – DSIM:

• A candidate applying for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 should have a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE-approved programme.
• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics and Informatics/ Applied Statistics and Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years.
• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute.
• A candidate applying for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025 should have a Master’s degree course in Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme.
• A candidate should have a Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years in Data Science/ AI/ ML/ Big Data Analytics from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme.
