Sonari ICDS Aganwadi helper recruitment 2026: Apply Offline For 91 Vacancies; Last dates to apply ends soon!

The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Sonari ICDS Project, Moranhat, Charaideo, has invited applications for the Aganwadi Helper posts under the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Assam. The Sonari ICDS Aganwadi helper recruitment 2026 notification was issued on 26th October 2026.

The posts are on a voluntary service basis and are open only to local women candidates from the area of the concerned Aganwadi centre. A total of 91 centres across 11 Gaon Panchayats have vacant Helper posts.

All vacancies under the Sonari ICDS Aganwadi helper recruitment 2026 are for the post of Aganwadi Helper. The Gaon Panchayat-wise distribution of vacant Aganwadi centres is given below.

Honorarium

Selected Aganwadi Helpers will be paid an honorarium as mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the HSLC/ AHM examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, or an equivalent examination from a board recognised by the Government of Assam.
• If no candidate with this qualification is available, candidates who have passed Class IX can apply. Their educational certificate must be countersigned by the School Inspector.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be between 18 and 45 years of age as on 1st August 2026.

Residency and Other Conditions

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of the area of the Aganwadi centre. A certificate from the concerned Gaon Burha or the Panchayat President must be submitted as proof.
• Three per cent of the posts are reserved for persons with disabilities, as per Government Notification No. SWD.449/2007/29 dated 12th September 2007. Such candidates must submit a certificate from the concerned health board.
• Candidates should be willing to work for the welfare of mothers and children and to support services such as non-formal pre-school education and supplementary nutrition.
• Candidates of unsound mind or poor health, and those involved in criminal cases, will be rejected.
• Regular students of schools or colleges will not be considered.
• Candidates who have recently been appointed as Aganwadi workers or helpers, and candidates who come from outside the area of the Aganwadi centre as on the date of application, will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Candidates will be called for an interview. The date, time and venue will be communicated through the local Mukhya Sevika and the Gaon Burha of the concerned area.
• Candidates should not contact the office individually, as incomplete or incorrect applications and personal contact may lead to rejection.
• Candidates who are shortlisted must submit a medical certificate on their physical and mental health from a government doctor.
• If any candidate is found to have submitted false information or documents, she will be removed from the post, even after selection.

• Self-attested copy of educational qualification certificates
• Marksheet
• Experience certificate, if any
• Caste certificate
• Residence certificate of the concerned area, issued by the Gaon Burha or Panchayat President
• Disability certificate from the concerned health board, if applicable
• Medical certificate from a government doctor, for shortlisted candidates

Steps to Apply

• Collect the prescribed application form from the office of the CDPO, Sonari ICDS Project, Moranhat, during the form collection period.
• Fill in the form completely and correctly.
• Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
• Submit the application at the same office within the submission period. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.
