The application process for NA/ NDA 2023 will be open for 2 more days, know important dates, eligibility, exam pattern, and more.
NA/ NDA 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has informed that the application portal for NDA-I & CDS-I, 2023 will remain open for two more days. This year, the Commission has released a total vacancy of 395. Eligible candidates can now submit the application form till 12th January 2023 upto 6:00 PM.
To inform about the extension, UPSC has displayed the following note in its website today: “Last date of filling of the application form (NDA-I & CDS-I, 2023) is extended till 6:00 PM, 12th January 2023 for the inconvenience faced by candidates due to server slow-down.”

Eligibility
- Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 2004 and not later than 1st July 2007
- For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass/ appearing of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University
- For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass/ appearing with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University
How to apply for NDA 2023
- Firstly register yourself to the ONE TIME REGISTRATION platform of UPSC, Click here to learn more about UPSC One Time Registration
- Go to the UPSC log-in page and log in
- Verify your personal details given during Registration
- Go to Dashboard and click on Apply to Active Notification
- Click on the NDA/ NA exam link
- Fill out the required details
- Submit the exam form
- Candidates have to pay ₹100 except Girls/ SC/ ST
NA/ NDA 2023 Selection Process
- The candidates have to appear in an offline OMR-based examination
- Candidates securing minimum cutoff will be called for 5 day SSB interview
- On the basis of total marks secured by candidates in the Written Examination and the Services Selection Board Tests. The final allocation/selection for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force of the National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy will be made up to the number of vacancies

SSB Interview Process of NDA/ NA
The SSB procedure consists of two stage Selection processes – stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear stage I are permitted to appear for stage II. The details are as follows:
- Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on a combination of performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT
- Stage II Comprises Interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days
