RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is now recruiting eligible candidates for various Officer Grade-B posts. The recruitment drive is organized against a total number of 291 vacant posts. Registration is going on and interested ones can apply on or before the 9th of June, 2023, by evening 06:00 p.m.

RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023: Pay Scale

The selected candidates from the RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023 drive will draw a starting basic pay of ₹55,200/- on a monthly basis in the pay scale of ₹55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B.

They will also be eligible for the special allowance, grade allowance, dearness allowance, local compensatory allowance, special grade allowance, learning allowance, and house rent allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are Rs. 1,16,914/- (approximately). The house rent allowance of 15% of basic pay will be paid, if accommodation is not provided by the bank.

RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

To sit for the RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023 examination a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be the age of 30 years as of 1st of May, 2023.  

Educational Qualification

(i) For Officer Gr. B (DR) – General:  

• A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ ST/ PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/ years.

(ii) For Officer Gr. B (DR) – DEPR:

• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Economics (or any other master’s degree where “Economics” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/ syllabus, namely MA/ MSc in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics).
• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Finance (or any other master’s degree where “Finance” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/ syllabus, namely MA/ MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance).
• For the above, a minimum of 55 percent marks or an equivalent grade is required in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized Indian or foreign University/ Institute.
• “Principal constituent” with respect to syllabus/ curriculum means half or more of the total courses/ electives/ credits must be in Economics or Finance.

(iii) For Officer in Gr B (DR) – DSIM:

• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics and Informatics/ Applied Statistics and Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years.
• A candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years and a one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute.
• A candidate should have a Master’s degree course in Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme.
• A candidate should have a Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years in Data Science/ AI/ ML/ Big Data Analytics from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE approved programme.
• A candidate should have a two years Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years from a recognized University/ Institute, an institute of national importance, UGC/ AICTE-approved programme.

Before proceeding

Candidates need to scan the following before proceeding with the form fill-up procedure:

• Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
  • 200 x 230 pixels
  • between 20kb and 50 kb
• Signature (with black ink)
  • 140 x 60 pixels
  • between 10kb and 20kb
• Left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink)
  • between 20kb and 50kb
• A handwritten declaration (on white paper with black ink)
  • between 50kb and 100 kb
  • The text is as follows: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Steps to apply

• To apply for the RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023, first visit the official website of RBI
• Click on the URL “Recruitment for the post of “Officers in Gr.’B’ (DR) GENERAL/ DEPR/DSIM” on Bank’s website
• Then click on “Opportunities@RBI” and “Current Vacancies”
• Go to “Vacancies” and click on the hyperlink “Online Application Form” on the advertisement page for filling out the form. It will redirect the candidates to the online registration page
• To register an application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter your name, contact details, and email-id. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. An email and SMS indicating the provisional registration number and password will also be sent
• After this, candidates will have to upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a hand-written declaration in the online application form as per the specifications given
• Proceed to fill in other details of the application form
• Click on the preview tab to preview and verify the entire application form before the final submission
• Click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded, and other details filled in by you are correct
• Click on the ‘Payment’ tab and proceed to the payment
• Click on the “Submit” button
• Lastly, take a printout copy of the application form and the payment receipt of RBI Grade-B Recruitment 2023 for future reference.
