Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2023: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Shillong recently released a notification inviting applications for the post of PTG, TGT & FCSA purely on a contract basis. The online application process started on 10th June 2023 and will end on 21st June 2023.

(A) PGT

• Remuneration: ₹ 42,250/- per month.

Eligibility for Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2023

Age Limit:

The upper age limit for all categories of teachers to apply for Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2023 is 50 years as of 1st July 2023. For Ex-NVS /Superannuated Govt. School Teacher’s maximum age limit will be 62 years as of 1st July 2023.

(A) PGT

Essential:

• Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate n the relevant subject.
• B.Ed. Degree
• Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English Medium
• Note: B.Ed degree is not required for the candidates who have undergone four years integrated degree Course at the Regional College of Education of NCERT or another NCTE-recognized institution.

Desirable:

• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Experience working in a residential school
• Knowledge of Computer applications
• Knowledge of Regional languages

(B) TGT

Essential:

1. Four years integrated degree course at the Regional College of Education of NCERT or other NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate
   • OR 50% or above marks in PG in the concerned subject from recognized Institutions.
   • OR Bachelors Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in a concerned subject combination of subjects and also in aggregate. Candidate should have studied requisite subject(s) for at least 2 years in the 03 years degree course.
   • OR Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and also in aggregate. The candidate should have studied the requisite subjects in all three years of a degree course.
2. Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE, for the purpose.
3. B.Ed. degree
4. Competence to teach in English & Hindi
5. Note: B.Ed degree is not required for the candidates who have undergone four years integrated degree Course at the Regional College of Education of NCERT or another NCTE-recognized institution.

Desirable:

• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Experience working in a residential school
• Knowledge of Computer applications

(C) Art Teacher

Essential:

• Degree in Fine Arts/Crafts from a recognized University
• Proficiency to teach in English & Hindi

Desirable:

• Knowledge of regional languages
• Experience of working in a residential school
• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Knowledge of computer applications
• Achievements at State/ National level competitions

(D) Physical Education Teacher (Male & Female)

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, B.P.Ed. from a recognized University
• Proficiency to teach in English and Hindi

Desirable:

• Working of experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Knowledge of Regional Language
• M.P.Ed. /M.Sc. (Sports Coaching) from LNCPE, LNIPE, NSU, or any National or State University
• Achievements at State /National /International level competitions

(E) Music Teachers

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in music from a recognized university
• Proficiency to teach in English and Hindi

Desirable:

• Knowledge of regional languages
• Experience of working in a residential school
• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Knowledge of Computer applications
• Achievements at State /National /International level competitions

(F) Librarian

Essential:

• University degree in Library Science from a recognized institution
• Working knowledge of English and Hindi

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a residential school
• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school
• Knowledge of regional languages
• Knowledge of Computer applications

(G) Faculty Cum System Administrator (FCSA)

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 50 years as on 1st July 2023.

Essential:

(Minimum 50% marks) Graduation with PGDCA from a recognized university/ institution recognized by AICTE. OR BCA/ B.Sc./ B.Tech/ BE in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Information Science from a recognized university. OR MCA/ Master in Computer Science/ Other Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/ IT from a recognized university.

Desirable:

• Teaching experience in a similar capacity in a recognized school.
• Experience of working in a residential school.
• Knowledge of Computer hardware and networking.
• Knowledge of regional languages.
• Achievements in the field of ICT of Self /Mentoring of students at State /National level competitions.

Selection Procedure

The selection process of Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2023 is divided into two steps.

• First, a merit list will be prepared based on the academic history, experience, and achievements in the related field.
• Secondly, a personal interview will be conducted.
