Vacancy

The pay scale of candidates selected as Assistant Programmers in the CBI will be Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.

Eligibility

Age Limit

• 30 years for URs/EWSs
• 33 years for OBCs and
• 35 years for SCs/STs

Education Qualification

1. Masters Degree in Computer Application or Computer Science or Master of Technology (with specialisation in Computer Application) or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering or Computer science or Computer Technology from a recognised University or Institute, OR
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application or Computer Science or Electronics or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognised University; and Two years experience in electronic data processing work including experience of actual programming from a recognised institute or Offices of Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Autonomous or Statutory organization or public sector undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institute.
3. OR, A Level diploma under the Department of Electronic Accredited Computer courses programme or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application offered under the University Programme and Three years experience in electronic data processing work including experience of actual programming from a recognized institute or offices of Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Autonomous or Statutory organization or public sector undertakings or Universities or Recognized Research Institute.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates wishing to apply for CBI Recruitment 2024 will be given preference, if they have knowledge of programming in C, C+, or Visual C++ and Oracle, Relation Data Base Management Systems to Experience on RISC-based Computer Systems under UNIX or UNIX, such as Operating Systems or WINDOWS Networking or Windows environment.

Selection Process

The CBI hasn’t mentioned the selection process in the advertisement, and the selection criteria will be decided, after looking into the number of applications received. In case of a large number of applications for CBI Recruitment 2024, the Commission will implement shortlisting criteria to limit the number of candidates invited for the interview. This will be done by using one or more of the following methods:

1. Desirable Qualifications (DQ): Shortlisting may be based on the possession of one or more Desirable Qualifications if specified.
2. Higher Educational Qualifications: Candidates with higher educational qualifications than the minimum required in the advertisement may be given preference.
3. Additional Relevant Experience: Candidates with more experience in the relevant field than the minimum required in the advertisement may be considered.
4. Experience Before/ After Essential Qualifications: Experience gained either before or after obtaining the essential qualifications may be taken into account.
5. Experience Beyond EQ/ DQ: Relevant experience may be considered even if it is not explicitly mentioned as an Essential or Desirable Qualification.
6. Recruitment Test: A Recruitment Test may be conducted, with weightage typically distributed as 75% for test marks and 25% for interview marks in determining the final merit.
