IGNOU MA English Online programme launched: Check important dates, Eligibility
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has newly launched the IGNOU MA English Online programme. The news about the plan to launch the Masters of Arts in English programme on Online mode was officially announced by the IGNOU authorities on 28th January 2022.

IGNOU Registration Dates 2022-23
Candidates willing to apply for the programme can register themselves on the official website which will be available till 10th February 2022. Also, for any other literature-based PG program, the last date for registration is extended to 10th February, which was earlier till 31st January 2022.
The programme was virtually launched by the School of Humanities under Indira Gandhi National Open University in the presence of chief guest Prof. E Suresh Kumar, Vice-chancellor of EFLU and the Vice-chancellor of IGNOU.
Recently, IGNOU has also launched other degrees like – BA Urdu (Honors) and BA Sanskrit (Honors), International courses, and Online programmes. At present, the registrations are open for other online courses as well – like BA in Social work, MA in Journalism and Mass Communication, BA Commerce, etc. Interested candidates can visit the official website to get more details of all the available online programmes in IGNOU.
About IGNOU MA English
The Masters of Arts (MA) in English is a 2-year programme of the Post-Graduate (PG) level, which will be under the School of Humanities. The minimum eligibility for admission into this course is an undergraduate degree from any UGC-recognized university.
Through the course, the learners will be taught majorly about English & American Literature, apart from that, the course will also cover World Literature such as Canadian, Australian, and Indian English. The course provides an opportunity to learn in detail about the origin of English, Classical interpretation, the medieval period of English, romanticism, and more.
