The Indian Air Force has released the official notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates can now apply online for the selection test to join the IAF as Agniveer Vayu for a period of four years.

Upon completion of four years, Agniveervayu will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package totalling approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs. Additional benefits include medical and CSD facilities, risk and hardship allowances, dress and travel allowances, and leave travel concession as per Indian Air Force rules.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 cover age, marital status, nationality and educational qualification. Candidates should check every condition carefully before filling the online application.
- Age Limit: Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. In case a candidate clears all stages of the selection process, the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 22 years.
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer Vayu. Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four year engagement period.
- Nationality: The notification invites applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for the Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 selection test.
Educational Qualification – Science Subjects
- Candidates should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognised Education Board with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
- Candidates who have passed a three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) from a recognised Polytechnic Institute with 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English are also eligible.
- Candidates who have passed a two year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics from a recognised Education Board with 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English are also eligible.
Educational Qualification – Other Than Science Subjects
- Candidates should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream or subjects from a recognised Education Board with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
- Candidates who have passed a two year Vocational Course from a recognised Education Board with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English are also eligible.
- Candidates eligible for the Science Subjects examination also have the option of appearing in both Science Subjects and Other Than Science Subjects examination in one sitting while filling the online registration form.

Candidates have to choose one of the following domicile categories at the time of online registration.

Candidates should also meet the visual standards, which allow a visual acuity of 6/12 in each eye correctable to 6/6, with defined limits for hypermetropia and myopia, and CP-II colour vision.
Selection Process
The selection process of the candidates under Agniveer Vayu Recruitment is based on following phases
- Phase-I: Online Test assessing Science subjects, Other than Science subjects, or both, depending on the candidate’s qualification.
- Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Tests (I and II), and document verification.
- Phase-III: Medical Examination as per Indian Air Force standards.
- Final selection based on merit list prepared state-wise after all phases.
Based on performance across these phases, a State-wise Provisional Select List is prepared, followed by an Enrolment List for candidates finally selected as Agniveer Vayu.
Exam Pattern
The Phase-I online test pattern for Agniveer Vayu depends on the subject combination chosen by the candidate.

The marking pattern awards one mark for every correct answer, nil marks for an unattempted question, and deducts 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Marks scored in Phase-I are normalised to account for variation in difficulty across sessions, and candidates must qualify in each paper individually.
Physical Fitness Test Standards
Candidates who qualify Phase-I are called for the Physical Fitness Test at the designated Air Force Selection Centre.

Steps to Apply

- Register with personal details and contact details to generate a User ID and password.
- Verify the registered mobile number and email ID using the OTPs received.
- Log in again using the User ID and password to complete Step-II of the application.
- Fill in personal details, communication details, qualification details and declaration.
- Upload the required photograph, signature, parent or guardian signature and left thumb impression images as per the specified size and format.
- Capture the live image using a web camera for photo verification.
- Preview the application form and check all details before final submission.
- Pay the application fee through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.
- Print and save the submitted application form in PDF for future reference.
Application Fee
The candidate applying under Agniveer Vayu Recruitment must pay the application fee of ₹550 plus 18% GST, payable online. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of online application submission.
