Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024: The Department of Elementary Education in the State of Assam is inviting applications from the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) qualified candidates for filling up 1750 vacancies of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher of UP Schools under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.
Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024 a candidate should have 50% marks in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent)
Graduate from the UGC-recognized University for Assistant Teacher
B. Sc. from the UGC-recognized University for Science Teacher
Graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from the UGC-recognized University for Hindi Teacher
2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor of Education OR Bachelor of Elementary Education
Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary is required for Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024
Either the Language I or the Language II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply
A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st January 2023.
No person having more than two living children is allowed to apply for Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024
The regular teachers already working in UP Schools under DEE, Assam are not allowed to apply for any posts in UP Schools
A candidate can apply only in one post against one particular ATET/ CTET Roll No
Recruitment Process of Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024
The recruitment process of Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024 does not consist of any recruitment test
The recruitment will be done based on marks obtained by the candidate at Higher Secondary, Diploma in Elementary Education, Graduation, Teachers’ Eligibility Test and other achievements
During the form fillup candidates need to set a preference of 3 districts and the merit list of each district will be separate
Marking Scheme
The following marking scheme will be followed in Assam UP Teacher Recruitment 2024 by the Department of Elementary Education, Assam.
5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent Examinations
5% of marks secured in the Graduation examination. In case of a candidate having a Major in any subject, the marks secured in the Major subject shall be taken into consideration.
5% of marks secured in the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) examination or Diploma in Education (Special Education) to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
80% of marks secured in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Upper Primary Schools
5 Marks (Maximum, Even if the candidate possesses all three qualifications/ achievements) if the candidate has any of the following
NCC Certificate – 5 marks for a “C” Certificate and 3 marks for a “B” Certificate Or
2. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at the National Level or beyond representing the State or Nation. Or
3. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State at the National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (organized by recognized institutions)
