Dr. Neha Tuli from an EdTech startup won the Women Entrepreneur of the year award
Dr. Neha Tuli, who is a notable alumnus of the Chitkara University, Punjab has been awarded the prestigious “Women Entrepreneur of the Year” title at the Annual Software Technology Parks of India Awards, 2022. The title has been awarded by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Mohali, and TiEcon 2022.
Dr. Neha Tuli while addressing the award ceremony began by saying, “I am very thankful to Chitkara University for providing me with an unparalleled ecosystem for starting my company, providing seed funding, and now providing all support to scale it up. When I was working on my Ph.D. thesis and came up with the first product in the AR/VR space, I had never thought I would come this far. It is a dream come true”.

Dr. Tuli’s innovative idea was supported by Chitkara Innovation Incubation Foundation (CIIF) with a MEITY TIDE 2.0 grant support of INR 7 lakhs. It must be noted that Dr. Tuli’s mentor, Dr. Archana Mantri is the Vice-Chancellor of the Chitkara University and the Director of the Immersive and Interactive Technology research Lab (IITL) has provided immense help to Dr. Tuli.
While congratulating Dr. Tuli, Dr. Archana Mantri said, “It is a proud moment for all of us at IITL and at Chitkara University. I wish, many more young women entrepreneurs should come forward and take this less-traveled path”. Another prominent entrepreneur, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “I knew that Neha will go places. I have seen her product line of AR-based Education products and I was mesmerized. I wish her luck and best in all her future endeavors”. The award has been presented by Mr. Arvind Aggarwal, Director General STPI, Mr. Jitin Talwar, President TIE Chandigarh, and other dignitaries.
Who is Dr. Neha Tuli?
Dr. Neha Tuli is an alumnus of the Chitkara University in Punjab. She is the founder of 6DOF Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which is an EdTech start-up, incubated by Chitkara University, Punjab. This start-up was jointly started by Dr. Neha Tuli and Mr. Shivam Sharma which provides immersive tech solutions for the EdTech industry using technologies like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Dr. Neha Tuli was the runner-up in TIE Women Global Pitch Competition- 2021, which was recognised in Startup India Innovation Week, 2022. She also won the first prize at IIT Bhubaneswar Hackathon on AR/VR.
