Indibor Deori Scholarship 2025: Free coaching for Civil Services Exams; Apply Today

Indibor Deori Scholarship 2025: The Deori Autonomous Council, in collaboration with SPM IAS Academy, Guwahati has introduced a scholarship scheme for the year 2025 to support the civil service aspirants belonging to the economically weaker section of the Deori community. This scheme will help the eligible candidates to get access to quality education and coaching. Read the article to know more about it and apply before 20th March, 2025.

An Overview: Indibor Deori Scholarship 2025

• The scholarship scheme aims to uplift the aspirants from the Deori community by providing free coaching for UPSC/ APSC Civil Services Exams at the SPM IAS Academy, Guwahati.
• A total of 30 candidates will be selected based on a scholarship exam.
• The scholarship provides structured guidance and mentorship for the competitive exams.
• However, it does not cover the hostel accommodation and other living expenses. The candidates must arrange for it themselves.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Indibor Deori Scholarship 2025, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the following criteria –

• Residency and Community:
  • The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
  • Additionally, the candidate must belong to the Deori Community
  • He/she should be able to produce the documents for the same.
• Age Criteria: As of 1st January 2025, the candidate must be 21 years or older.
• Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Graduate (i.e. a bachelor’s degree holder) from a recognized university/ institute.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for the Indibor Deori Scholarship 2025 is as follows –

• A written examination will be conducted by the institute to shortlist candidates.
• Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for an interview.
• Then, the candidates will need to undergo a document verification process.
• The final list of selected candidates will only be published after the verification process.
• The selection of candidates will be done purely on a merit basis.

Exam Details

• The scholarship exam will be held on 23rd March 2025 at Kulajan College, Silapather, Dhemaji.
• the duration of the test will be 2 hours and it will be conducted from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• However, the reporting time of the candidate is 12:00 noon.
• As for the syllabus, current affairs (from the last 6 months) will be asked in the objective (MCQ) and descriptive-type questions format.

• First of all, the candidate must visit the official website or the application link, both linked below.
• Then, register online by providing all the necessary details.
• Attend the written exam on the specified date.
• If selected, candidates will have to complete document verification and appear in an interview round.
• Selected candidates will be contacted after the merit list is out.

Note – There is no Registration fee and no TA/ DA will be allowed to candidates for the examination.
