SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025: Apply now for UG Admissions in Colleges of Assam

SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025: The Department of Higher Education, Assam has recently launched the portal for admission into four-year undergraduate programmes & five-year Integrated Masters programmes in colleges and state universities of Assam for the academic session 2025-26. This new website is named Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal, however, it is now popular among students as the SAMARTH portal.

The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal or SAMARTH portal aims to provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the state, especially those from rural and remote areas, and help establish better connections with the colleges and universities. The admission portal for the new registration is now open from 11th April, 2025.

Choice of Courses & Colleges

• Students can apply for multiple Undergraduate & Integrated Masters programme in various colleges and universities accross Assam.
• Students will get multiple options for program selection either in the same Higher Educational Institution (University/ Colleges) or in different Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) (University/ Colleges) through the SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025.
• In case, his/ her application is selected in more than one college in the first merit list, the student will have to opt for only one college/ option to process the admission and the selection to the remaining colleges/ option appearing in the first Merit list will lapse.
• If they get selected in the second merit list for any remaining colleges/ option in which they were not selected in the first merit list, then they will have the option to cancel the admission taken under the first merit list and then select one of the colleges/ options out of the ones appearing in the second merit list. The same will be the case with the third merit list.

To know about the available courses in a college/ university through the SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below:

• Go to the home page of the SAMARTH Portal
• Click on “Programme information”
• Now, you can search for programs, universities, or colleges and check out their details

Documents Required

The following documents will be required for UG & Integrated Masters admissions through the SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025-

• Signature
• Recent Passport size Photograph
• 10th Certificate and Marksheet
• 12th Certificate and Marksheet
• ID Proof Document
• Domicile Proof of Assam
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)
• Gap Certificate (if applicable

How to apply for UG & Integrated Masters Admissions in SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025?

To apply for UG & Integrated Masters admissions through the SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025, follow the steps below-

• Go to the official website of Samarth Portal for UG & Integrated Masters Admissions 2025.
• Click on ‘New Registration’ button and register yourself using your name, phone number, and email address.
• During Registration, you will need to create a password.
• The Registration number will be sent to your email and phone number.
• After registration log in to your profile using the Registration Number and the password.
• Then complete your profile.
• After completing the personal profile, select the Autonomous college/ University from the drop-down options.
• If you have selected a university, you will need to choose the college under that university where you would like to take admission
• After that, select the course from the options shown.
• Next, the students should submit the application form.
• Finally, after applying for colleges you may download the Application form for future reference.

Note: Currently, candidates will not be able to select their desired Institutions & Programmes , as the facility for the same will open after the declaration of Class 12/ HS 2nd Year result.

Application Fee

• No application fee or registration fee is required for UG Admissions through the SAMARTH Admission Portal 2025.
• However, students will only pay the prescribed admission fees, as per the uniform fee structure approved by the Government of Assam, for regular courses and shall pay the actual fee amount for the self-financed courses as applicable.
