TET cum Recruitment Test will be held on December 29th; Get complete details

The Director of Secondary Education, Assam (DSE) has released a new notification this evening and informed about release of admit card and date of conducting the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) cum Recruitment Test. The TET cum Recruitment Test will be conducted to fill up the 8230 vacancies of Graduate Teachers and 1487 vacancies of Post-Graduate Teacher in both Government and Provincialised Secondary Schools.

The application portal for this recruitment drive was open from the 21st of October, 2024 and was to close on the 15th of November, 2024. However, DSE had granted additional time to candidates for filling out the application forms upto the 20th of November.

Syllabus of TET cum Recruitment Test

To be selected as a TGT or PGT in one of the Government and Provincialised Secondary Schools, candidates need to appear in the TET cum Recruitment Test, and the syllabus breakup of the same will be as follows:

• Please note that, in the original advertisement, DSE had allocated 50 marks to questions about Assam and its People, which is now reduced to 35 marks via a notification on December 3rd, 2024.
• Also, DSE has added General Mathematics paper (10th Standard) of 15 marks in the exam pattern.
• The examination will be of 2½ hours duration and will consist of 140 questions of 1 mark each.
• Wrong answers and selecting more than one option per question will be marked negatively at 0.25 marks per question.
• The question paper will be given in the multi-lingual form, viz. Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, English medium.
• The examination will tentatively be conducted in Cachar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari and Sonitpur.

Admit Cards

• DSE Assam has announced that candidates who applied for the TET cum Recruitment Test 2024 can download their Admit Cards from 15th December 2024.
• The Admit Cards will be available on the official website, starting from 11 AM onwards.
• Candidates can download it using the Application Number and Password created during the application process.
• Candidates must bring a hard copy of the Admit Card along with a government-issued Photo Identity Card, such as Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License, or Voter ID, to gain entry to the examination hall.
• PwBD candidates are required to carry a certificate from a competent authority in addition to the standard documents.
• All instructions on the Admit Card must be strictly followed.
