CSIR NEIST Jorhat Recruitment 2025: CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat, a premier research institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Autonomous Body of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India, has invited online applications. Applications are invited from enthusiastic, young, dynamic, and talented professionals for posts of Scientists, Technical staff (Technical Assistant) and Technician staff. The online application process have commenced from 17 May, 2025 at 09:30 AM IST and the last date for submission is 06 June, 2025 at 11:59 PM IST.

Salaries

The posts under CSIR NEIST Jorhat Recruitment 2025 carry a Pay Matrix Level as per the 7th CPC. The details of each salary is given below:

Scienstist

Pay Matrix Level-6 (Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700). Total approximate emoluments on the minimum of the scale, including admissible allowances, are provided.

Technical Assistant

Pay Matrix Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400). Total approximate emoluments on the minimum of the scale, including admissible allowances, are provided.

Technician(1)/ Group-II(1)

Pay Level-2 (Rs 19,900/- – Rs. 63,200/-). Total approximate emoluments on the minimum of the scale, including admissible allowances, are provided.

Eligibility Criteria

The crucial date for determining the age limit of the candidates applying under CSIR NERIST Jorhat Recruitment 2025 is given below:

Age Criteria

  • The upper age limit is calculated as on the last date for receipt of online applications, which is 06.06.2025.
  • Upper Age Limit for UR candidates: 28 years.

Educational Criteria

The essential qualifications and experience required for each post are minimum requirements, and possession of these alone does not guarantee a call for the Trade Test/ Competitive Written Examination. Qualifications must be from recognized Universities/ Institutions. Experience is counted after acquiring the minimum educational qualification.

Technical Assistant Posts:

  • TA-1 (02 posts: EWS-01, SC-01): B.Sc (IT) or B.Sc (Computer Science) or BCA with minimum 60% marks and one year experience in related discipline.
  • TA-2 (01 post: OBC): B.Sc. or equivalent in Life Science/ Zoology/ Animal Science/ Animal Genetics/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks and one year experience in relevant discipline/ area/ field.
  • TA-3 (01 post: UR): B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subjects with minimum 60% marks and one year experience in relevant discipline.
  • TA-4 (01 post: SC): Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology of at least 3 years full time duration with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years, OR Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology of at least 2 years full time duration (lateral entry) with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years.
  • TA-5 (02 posts: UR): Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications of at least 3 years full time duration with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years, OR Diploma of at least 2 years full time duration (lateral entry) with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years, OR B.Sc.(Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and one-year experience.
  • TA-6 (01 post: UR): B.Sc. with Physics as one of the subjects with minimum 60% marks and with one-year experience in the field of Geophysics/ Geoscience/ GIS/ Remote Sensing or related field.
  • TA-7 (01 post: OBC): Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Technology of at least 3 years full time duration with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years, OR Diploma of at least 2 years full time duration (lateral entry) with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years.
  • TA-8 (01 post: ST): B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Botany/ Agriculture with one year experience in relevant area.

Technician Posts

  • TE-01 (03 posts: EWS-01, SC-01, UR-01): SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) AND ITI certificate OR National/ State trade certificate in Plumbing, OR 2 years full time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in Plumbing, OR 3 years of work experience in Plumbing in a recognized government sector organization.
  • TE-02 (01 post: UR): SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) AND ITI certificate OR National/State trade certificate in Electrician, OR 2 years full time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in Electrician, OR 3 years of work experience in Electrician in a recognized government sector organization.
  • TE-03 (01 post: ST): SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) AND ITI certificate OR National/State trade certificate in Welder, OR 2 years full time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in Welder, OR 3 years of work experience in Welder in a recognized government sector organization.
  • TE-04 (01 post: ST): SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) AND ITI certificate OR National/ State trade certificate in Mason/ Construction & Wood working sector, OR 2 years full time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in Mason/ Construction & Wood working sector, OR 3 years of work experience in Mason/ Construction & Wood working sector in a recognized government sector organization.
  • TE-05 (01 post: UR): SSC/ 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) AND ITI certificate OR National/State trade certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, OR 2 years full time experience as an Apprentice Trainee in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, OR 3 years of work experience in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant in a recognized government sector organization.

Note: For qualifications equivalent to essential qualifications under CSIR NEIST Jorhat Recruitment 2025, candidates must produce an order/ letter from the relevant Authority. Experience on a part-time, daily wage, visiting/ guest faculty basis will not be counted.
