AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply for 95 Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentice Posts

AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (North Eastern Region), Guwahati has released the official notification (Advertisement No. 01/2026) for the engagement of Graduate, Diploma and ITI Trade Apprentices for the apprenticeship year 2026–27. The apprenticeship programme will be conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for one year.

Eligible candidates who are domiciles of the North Eastern Region can submit their applications through the respective NATS or NAPS portals. The last date to submit the online application is 28th July 2026.

Vacancies of AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

AAI has announced a total of 95 apprenticeship vacancies across Graduate, Diploma and ITI Trade disciplines.

The apprenticeship training will be conducted at AAI airports in Assam, Agartala, Imphal, Shillong, Dimapur, Tezu, Lengpui and Hollongi.

Stipend

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 26 years as on 28th July 2026.
• Age relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWBD and other eligible categories will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: Full-time regular four-year Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline recognised by AICTE.
• Diploma Apprentice: Full-time regular three-year Engineering Diploma in the relevant discipline recognised by AICTE.
• ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI/ NCVT Certificate in the relevant trade from recognised institutions.

Nationality

• Only Indian Nationals belonging to the North Eastern Region are eligible to apply.

Experience

• Candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2024 or after 2024 are eligible.
• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or have one year or more of work/ apprenticeship experience after acquiring the essential qualification are not eligible.
• Candidates undergoing apprenticeship in AAI or any other organisation with the same qualification level are also not eligible.

Selection Process

The selection process of AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will include:

• Shortlisting based on percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
• Interview
• Document Verification
• Submission of Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining
