Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online For 3500 Graduate Apprentice Vacancies

Canara Bank has released the notification for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026, inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for engagement as Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. The bank is a leading public sector bank with its Head Office in Bengaluru and over 10,000 branches.

A total of 3500 training seats have been announced across States and Union Territories. The online registration for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will begin on 1st October 2026 and close on 17th October 2026. Candidates must first register on the NATS apprenticeship portal with a 100% complete profile.

Stipend of Canara Bank Apprentices

• The period of apprenticeship training will be 12 months.
• Apprentices will not be treated as employees of the bank and will not be entitled to any benefits available to bank employees.

Eligibility Criteria

All eligibility conditions will be computed as on 1st September 2026.

Nationality

Only Indian citizens can apply for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 20 years
• Maximum age: 28 years
• Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd September 1998 and not later than 1st September 2006 (both days inclusive).

Candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ PwBD, as well as widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried, are entitled to age relaxation. Educational Qualification

• A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification
• Graduation must have been passed not earlier than 1st January 2023 and not later than 1st September 2026 (both days inclusive).

Other Conditions

• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training with any organisation, or are currently pursuing it, are not eligible for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026.
• Candidates with training or job experience of one year or more after completing their educational qualification are not eligible.
• Ex-servicemen and disabled ex-servicemen will not be engaged as apprentices.
• Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate showing they studied the opted local language are exempt from the local language test. Others must qualify the test, which will be held at the time of Document Verification.
• Selected candidates must be declared medically fit as per the bank’s requirement.

Selection Process

• The merit list will be prepared State-wise, in descending order of marks/ percentage obtained in the 12th Standard (HSC/ 10+2)/ Diploma examination.
• If two or more candidates have the same percentage, they will be ranked by age in descending order.
• The minimum qualifying marks are 60% for General candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.
• The merit list will be based only on the information submitted in the online application. Final selection will be subject to the following:
  • Verification of eligibility and the information furnished in the application
  • Qualifying the test of local language for the opted State, where applicable
  • Being declared medically fit as per the bank’s requirement

A State and category-wise waiting list will be maintained for one year from the date of the result, or until the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.

Documents Required

The following documents must be produced in original, along with a self-attested photocopy, at the time of engagement under Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026:

• Valid system-generated printout of the online application
• Proof of date of birth
• Photo ID such as Passport/ Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving Licence
• Mark sheets and certificates from SSC examination onwards up to the highest examination passed, including semester/ year-wise mark sheets and the final degree
• Income and Asset Certificate for EWS candidates
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• UDID card and Disability Certificate for PwBD candidates
• Any other relevant document supporting eligibility

Steps to Apply

• Visit the application portal by clicking on the link given below in the “Important Links” section.
• Register on the NATS apprenticeship portal and complete the profile 100%. Keep the enrolment number generated after registration for future reference.
• Go to the Careers section of the bank’s website, open Recruitment and select the link for Engagement of Graduate Apprentices in Canara Bank under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.
• Click on “Click Here For New Registration” and enter the basic details. A provisional registration number and password will be generated.
• Enter the NATS enrolment ID and fill in the application form. The name must be spelt exactly as it appears in the SSC/ SSLC/ X Standard mark sheet.
• Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specified size and format.
• Pay the application fee online, if applicable, and click on the final submit button. No changes are allowed after final submission.
• Take a printout of the application form and the e-receipt for future reference.
