NEET PG 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) has opened the registration portal of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Admissions or NEET PG for the session 2025-26. Earlier on 16th April, NBEMS released the notification, and today, they have opened the application portal. Candidates interested in pursuing post-graduation can apply for the same on or before 7th May 2025. Read this article to know more.

Overview
NEET PG, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is an entrance examination for students who have completed their MBBS and wish to pursue higher studies in MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), PG Diploma, Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6-Year DrNB Courses and NBEMS Diploma Courses. This exam is conducted for postgraduate admissions in medical colleges across India, except for the admissions in AIIMS, JIPMER, PGI, and NIMHANS.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for NEET PG 2025, candidates must:
- Hold an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate that is recognised following the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023.
- Have a Permanent or Provisional Registration Certificate for their MBBS qualification issued by the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or the respective State Medical Council.
- Have completed a one-year internship, or are expected to complete it by 31st July 2025.

How to apply for NEET PG 2025?
- First, visit the official website by clicking on the link given below
- Then, click on the ‘Application Link’ button
- Once you reach the application portal, get registered by filling in the required details
- After successful registration, log in with your User ID and password and fill in the details as required
- Upload the essential documents in the prescribed format
- After completion of these steps, pay the application fee and choose the test city where you want to give the exam
- Then, preview the form and submit it
- Lastly, download the application form and payment receipt for future reference
